Sein Schaft reicht nur knapp an den Fuß heran und liegt flach auf dem Spann. Dadurch lässt er sich einfach hineinschlüpfen und sitzt trotzdem sicher am Fuß. Der etwa 7 mm dicke Filz umgibt den Fuß weitestmöglich und hält die Wärme angenehm am Fuß. Er besteht aus mind. 90 % reiner Wolle und fühlt sich weich und geschmeidig an. Er passt sich beim Tragen nach und nach an. Ein ausgeformtes Fußbett hat er bewusst nicht. Auch die Innensohle ist mit Wollfilz bezogen.
